CURRENCY

Milk Caps (MC) are the currency of Latchkey. The amount of keys a player has is displayed at the top left of the screen, directly below the health and stamina. All players start with 0 MC.

Most shops accept MC as payment for their goods and services.

Adelaide is full of MC to be found or earned. The main ways to gain MC is by completing objectives, dumpster diving, foraging, looting, farming/crafting or engaging in combat, then selling the items you’ve acquired. MC on sold items is earned instantly via sales directly with merchants or residents and after the player goes to sleep for the night with items in Shipping Container, and the amounts for each item are displayed on the Sol Summery Recap screen.

The player will also receive MC from random encounters throughout the game.

The player can discard unwanted items in their inventory by placing them on the ground or throwing them away in a dumpster. Discarded items do not provide the player MC.

While keys come in different values when discovered the player’s currency is automatically updated to reflect value.
